Make Money From Home

How to make money from home? Isn't that the most popular question going around on the internet? This is understandably so, as I don't know anyone who wouldn't love to be around their family more as well as have a flexible work schedule. Although it's great to be asking yourself the question (and surfing for an answer online), as he/she who seeks WILL find, to speed up the process of clarifying your set path for achieving prosperous financial circumstances... it needs to be reversed somewhat.

Instead of searching for ways to make money from home, begin asking yourself what different methods you can use to monetize your skills. A person can only become successful by offering value to a designated group, and sometimes to the public at large (like Bill Gates of Microsoft). And if done in an honest way, this value can only stem from inside. Here are some classifications of inner value which will form the basis for your monetization plan:

• Passion (meaning something you love to do)
• Acquired knowledge (through reading, online/offline learning, etc)
• Experience in a particular area of specialization

Two important traits representative of the individual who will learn to make money from home, are (1) leadership/independence and especially (2) a burning desire to help others (whether it be friends, family members, your community, a charitable organization, etc). Every 'thing' is only measurable when in relation to another thing. The economy runs on products and services being circulated in exchange for money or other assets also being circulated. You can plan all you want... but until someone directly benefits from what you have to offer, your pockets will unfortunately be empty in this respect.

Whether or not you already have an existing business is irrelevant; If you've got one, then it can definitely serve as a safety net and even a source of inspiration for your new work at home venture - If not, that's also okay. I would, however, suggest at least having a job (even if it's part-time) until you begin to accelerate in your endeavors. The reason is that the stresses which often arise from bills piling up, and worrying about not having enough food on the table override those that typically arise from a traditional job (even if it's one you hate). Also, depending on what you will be doing to create your paycheck, there may need to be an investment on your part from time to time, and so, additional funding will come in handy.

Now, here's the really exciting part... actually monetizing your passions, skills, and knowledge. I've summed up the possible methods (of which you can combine) for building a business around what already exists inside of you (and yes, what is inside of you makes you an expert in the field - If you currently don't believe in yourself enough to accept this, just take it on trust, from me). They are:

• Selling your own products
• Selling/promoting the products/services of others
• Offering a "Do-it-for-me" type service
• Consulting/coaching (1-on-1) through the internet and/or phone
• Holding audio or audio/visual webinars (which are online seminars [live and/or recorded] directed to more than one person)
• Setting up a paid member's club (or area of your site) delivering quality information on a monthly basis

Do you see how variety can facilitate a means for enjoying multiple streams of income (many of them passive/residual)? The possible number of ways to make money from home are endless. They really are, but as I said, you have to shift your focus from "Where's the money?" to "Where's my target audience and how can I best serve them my gifts?".
